تعزيز التعاون الأكاديمي العراقي–الماليزي: زمالات دراسية ومبادرات مشتركة مع جامعة الطاقة الوطنية الماليزية

Strengthening Iraqi–Malaysian Academic Cooperation: A Milestone Achievement by the Cultural Attaché in Securing Scholarships with Universiti Tenaga Nasional

في إطار الجهود المتواصلة التي تبذلها الملحقية الثقافية العراقية في كوالالمبور والمتمثلة بالملحق الثقافي الأستاذ المساعد الدكتور عبد الجليل محمد مجيد لتعزيز آفاق التعاون الأكاديمي والعلمي بين جمهورية العراق وماليزيا، تُوّجت سلسلة من المتابعات والاتصالات والتنسيقات التي قادتها الملحقية على مدى فترة زمنية ممتدة، بالإعلان عن تخصيص أربع زمالات دراسية من قبل جامعة الطاقة الوطنية الماليزية لصالح الطلبة العراقيين

وجاء هذا الإنجاز ثمرةً لعمل مؤسسي منظم قامت به الملحقية الثقافية، شمل بناء قنوات تواصل فاعلة مع إدارة الجامعة، وعقد اجتماعات تنسيقية متواصلة، فضلاً عن متابعة تفصيلية لمجالات التعاون ذات الأولوية، بما ينسجم مع توجهات وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي العراقية واحتياجاتها في تطوير التخصصات الحيوية

وقد تم الإعلان الرسمي عن هذه الزمالات خلال اللقاء الذي عُقد بتاريخ 7 نيسان 2026، بحضور القائم بالأعمال المؤقت في سفارة جمهورية العراق في كوالالمبور، المستشار أحمد غانم عبد الجبار، ووفد أكاديمي رفيع من جامعة الطاقة الوطنية الماليزية برئاسة رئيس الجامعة البروفيسور الدكتور خيرول صالح محمد ساهاري، وبمشاركة الأستاذ المساعد الدكتور فراس باسم النعيمي، التدريسي العراقي في الجامعة، والذي يضطلع بدور فاعل ومستمر في تعزيز التنسيق والتعاون الأكاديمي مع الملحقية الثقافية.العراقية في كوالالمبور

ومثّل الملحقية الثقافية في الاجتماع كل من الملحق الثقافي الدكتور عبد الجليل محمد مجيد، والموظف الإداري الدكتور عمار صبري مجيد، حيث أكدا أن هذه الزمالات تأتي ضمن استراتيجية الملحقية الرامية إلى توسيع فرص الابتعاث، وتعزيز حضور الطلبة العراقيين في الجامعات العالمية الرصينة

وأكدت الملحقية الثقافية أنها ستتولى متابعة إجراءات إحالة هذه الزمالات إلى وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي العراقية، والعمل على تنظيم آليات الترشيح والاختيار وفق الضوابط المعتمدة، بما يضمن تحقيق أعلى درجات الشفافية والكفاءة في اختيار المستفيدين

كما أشارت الملحقية إلى أن هذا الإنجاز يعكس نجاح النهج الذي تتبعه في بناء شراكات استراتيجية مستدامة مع المؤسسات الأكاديمية الماليزية، ويفتح المجال أمام مبادرات مستقبلية تشمل برامج بحثية مشتركة، وتبادل أكاديمي، والمشاركة في المؤتمرات العلمية

ويجسد هذا التطور خطوة متقدمة في مسار العلاقات الأكاديمية العراقية–الماليزية، ويؤكد الدور الفاعل للملحقية الثقافية بوصفها حلقة الوصل الأساسية في تطوير التعاون العلمي وبناء القدرات البشرية، بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين الصديقين

As part of its sustained efforts to advance academic and scientific cooperation between the Republic of Iraq and Malaysia, the Cultural Attaché of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur has successfully culminated a series of long-term engagements, negotiations, and coordinated efforts by securing four academic scholarships from Universiti Tenaga Nasional for Iraqi students.

This achievement represents the outcome of a structured and proactive institutional approach led by the Cultural Attaché, which included establishing effective communication channels with the University’s leadership, conducting continuous coordination meetings, and closely aligning areas of cooperation with the priorities of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, particularly in strategic and high-demand disciplines.

The scholarships were formally announced during a meeting held on 7 April 2026, attended by the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur, Mr. Ahmed Ghanim Abduljabbar, alongside a high-level academic delegation from Universiti Tenaga Nasional, headed by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Khairul Salleh Mohamed Sahari. The meeting was also attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Firas Bassem Al-Nuaimi, an Iraqi academic at the University, who plays an active and continuous role in strengthening coordination and academic cooperation with the Cultural Attaché.

Representing the Cultural Attaché at the meeting were the Cultural Attaché, Dr. Abduljalil Mohammed Majeed, and the Deputy Cultural Attaché, Dr. Ammar Sabri Majeed, who emphasized that these scholarships fall within the Attaché’s broader strategy to expand scholarship opportunities and strengthen the presence of Iraqi students in reputable international universities.

The Cultural Attaché affirmed that it will oversee the coordination process with the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to facilitate nomination procedures and candidate selection in accordance with established regulations, ensuring transparency and academic merit in the selection process.

Furthermore, the Cultural Attaché highlighted that this accomplishment reflects the success of its strategic approach in building sustainable academic partnerships with Malaysian institutions, and paves the way for future initiatives, including joint research programs, academic exchange, and participation in international scientific conferences.

This development marks a significant step forward in Iraqi–Malaysian academic relations and underscores the pivotal role of the Cultural Attaché as a key driver in fostering scientific collaboration and capacity building, in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both friendly nations.
