سفارة جمهورية العراق في كوالالمبور والملحقية الثقافية العراقية تبحثان آفاق التعاون العلمي مع جامعة سلانغور الإسلامية

في إطار جهودها لتعزيز التعاون الأكاديمي والعلمي بين جمهورية العراق وماليزيا، شاركت الملحقية الثقافية العراقية في كوالالمبور في اجتماع رسمي مع رئاسة جامعة سلانغور الإسلامية ، لبحث سبل تطوير الشراكات العلمية بين الجامعات العراقية ونظيراتها الماليزية

وقد عُقد اللقاء في مقر الجامعة بولاية سلانغور بتاريخ 13 آذار 2026، برئاسة القائم بالأعمال المؤقت لسفارة جمهورية العراق في كوالالمبور، المستشار أحمد غانم عبد الجبار، والملحق الثقافي الأستاذ المساعد الدكتور عبد الجليل محمد مجيد، إلى جانب عدد من أعضاء الهيئة التدريسية في الجامعة، من بينهم نائب رئيس الجامعة لشؤون الطلبة والخريجين الأستاذ الدكتور عبدول رزيف بن زيني

وخلال اللقاء، استعرض رئيس الجامعة الأستاذ الدكتور محمد فريد راوي عبد الله البرامج الأكاديمية التي تقدمها الجامعة، ولا سيما في مجالات الدراسات الإسلامية واللغة العربية، مشيراً إلى علاقاته الأكاديمية السابقة مع عدد من الأساتذة العراقيين، ومعبّراً عن اهتمامه بتعزيز التعاون مع الجامعات العراقية، فضلاً عن رغبته في زيارة العراق والاطلاع على مؤسساته العلمية ومعالمه الحضارية

من جانبها، أكدت الملحقية الثقافية العراقية أهمية هذا اللقاء في توسيع آفاق التعاون الأكاديمي، والعمل على تفعيل مذكرات التفاهم بين الجامعات العراقية والماليزية، بما يسهم في دعم التبادل العلمي والبحثي، وفتح فرص جديدة أمام الطلبة والباحثين في البلدين

كما شددت الملحقية على حرصها المستمر على بناء جسور التواصل الأكاديمي مع المؤسسات التعليمية الماليزية، وتعزيز حضور الجامعات العراقية في المحافل العلمية الدولية

وفي ختام اللقاء، اتفق الجانبان على أهمية استمرار التنسيق والتواصل لتطوير الشراكات العلمية، فيما أشار رئيس

الجامعة إلى عزمه إطلاع حكومة ولاية سلانغور على نتائج هذا الاجتماع، بما يعزز فرص التعاون المستقبلي

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation between the Republic of Iraq and Malaysia, the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Kuala Lumpur participated in an official meeting with the leadership of Universiti Islam Selangor, to discuss avenues for enhancing academic partnerships between Iraqi universities and their Malaysian counterparts.

The meeting was held at the university’s headquarters in the State of Selangor on 13 March 2026, in the presence of the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur, Counsellor Ahmed Ghanim Abdul Jabbar, and the Cultural Attaché, Dr. Abduljalil Mohammed Majeed, along with a number of the university’s academic staff, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Student and Alumni Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdul Razif bin Zaini.

During the meeting, the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammad Farid Ravi Abdullah, presented an overview of the university’s academic programs, particularly in the fields of Islamic studies and the Arabic language. He also highlighted his previous academic ties with several Iraqi professors and expressed his interest in strengthening cooperation with Iraqi universities, as well as his desire to visit Iraq to explore its academic institutions and cultural and historical landmarks.

For its part, the Iraqi Cultural Attaché emphasized the importance of this meeting in expanding academic cooperation and activating memoranda of understanding between Iraqi and Malaysian universities, in a way that contributes to enhancing scientific research and academic exchange between the two countries.

The Attaché also reaffirmed its commitment to building sustainable academic connections with Malaysian educational institutions and to strengthening the international presence of Iraqi universities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides underscored the importance of maintaining continuous coordination and communication to further develop scientific partnerships. The President of the University also indicated his intention to brief the Government of the State of Selangor on the outcomes of the meeting, in support of future cooperation initiatives.
