الملحقية الثقافية العراقية تشارك في جلسة تواصل جامعة العلوم الماليزية مع البعثات الدبلوماسية

The Iraqi Cultural Attaché Office Participates in Universiti Sains Malaysia’s Engagement Session with Foreign Embassies

شارك الملحق الثقافي في كوالالمبور الأستاذ المساعد الدكتور عبد الجليل محمد مجيد، يرافقه الموظف الإداري الدكتور عمار صبري، في جلسة التواصل مع البعثات الدبلوماسية الأجنبية في ماليزيا التي نظمتها جامعة العلوم الماليزية (USM) في مقرها بالعاصمة كوالالمبور، وذلك يوم 8 كانون الثاني/يناير 2026

وجاءت الجلسة تحت شعار «الدبلوماسية تلتقي بالتعليم العالي»، حيث جمعت الجامعة ممثلي السفارات والمفوضيات السامية لبحث مسارات جديدة للتعاون الدولي، وتعزيز الحراك الأكاديمي، وتطوير برامج تعليمية ذات أثر عالمي مستدام. وأكدت الجامعة في منشورها أن «شيئًا ذا معنى على وشك أن يبدأ»، في إشارة إلى انطلاق مرحلة جديدة من الشراكات العابرة للحدود

وخلال الجلسة، استضافت الجامعة حوارًا موسعًا ركّز على الشراكات الدولية والبرامج الأكاديمية وتنقل الطلبة، مؤكدة التطلع المشترك إلى «تشكيل تعليم مستقبلي جاهز عبر التعاون والابتكار ووحدة الهدف». كما شهدت الفعالية مشاركة فاعلة من جانب البعثات الدبلوماسية، ومن بينها سفارة جمهورية العراق، حيث جرى بحث الفرص الاستراتيجية وآفاق التعاون مع الجامعات العراقية

وفي كلمته خلال الجلسة، شدّد رئيس جامعة العلوم الماليزية عبد الرحمن محمد على أن «القيادة في التعليم العالي تعني التفكير بما يتجاوز الحدود»، موضحًا أن اللقاء يهدف إلى تعزيز التعاون، ودفع عجلة الابتكار، وصناعة أثر مستدام في منظومة التعليم العالي

من جانبه، أكد الملحق الثقافي أن مشاركة الملحقية الثقافية العراقية في هذه الجلسة تأتي في إطار توسيع جسور التعاون الأكاديمي بين العراق وماليزيا، وفتح آفاق جديدة لبرامج التبادل والبحث العلمي المشترك، بما يخدم الطلبة والباحثين ويعزز العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين. كما أشار إلى أهمية الدور الذي تضطلع به الجامعة في الريادة الأكاديمية والتواصل الدولي، معربًا عن الاستعداد لمتابعة مخرجات الجلسة وترجمتها إلى مبادرات عملية

The Cultural Attaché in Kuala Lumpur, Assistant Professor Dr. Abduljalil Mohammed Majeed, accompanied by the Administrative Officer Dr. Ammar Sabri, participated in the Engagement Session with Foreign Embassies in Malaysia hosted by Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) at its Kuala Lumpur campus on 8 January 2026.

Held under the theme “Diplomacy Meets Higher Education,” the session brought together representatives of foreign embassies and high commissions to explore new pathways for global collaboration, enhance academic mobility, and advance impactful and sustainable education. The university noted that “something meaningful is about to begin,” signaling the launch of a new phase of cross-border partnerships.

The engagement featured in-depth discussions on international partnerships, academic programmes, student mobility, and sustainable global impact, with participants expressing a shared commitment to “shaping future-ready education through collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose.” The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq took part in focused discussions on strategic opportunities and prospects for collaboration with Iraqi higher education institutions.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Sains Malaysia, Abdul Rahman Mohamed, emphasized that “leadership in higher education means thinking beyond borders,” highlighting the session’s focus on strengthening collaboration, driving innovation, and creating sustainable impact.

The Cultural Attaché reaffirmed that the Iraqi Cultural Attaché Office’s participation reflects its commitment to expanding academic cooperation between Iraq and Malaysia, promoting joint programmes, research collaboration, and student exchange initiatives. He further underscored the importance of translating the outcomes of the engagement into practical initiatives that serve students and researchers and contribute to stronger bilateral relations between the two countries.
