استقبلت الملحقية الثقافية العراقية في كوالالمبور يوم الجمعة الموافق ١٩ أيلول ٢٠٢٥ وفداً وزارياً من وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي العراقية، وذلك في إطار زيارة عمل رسمية تستمر حتى يوم الخميس الموافق ٢٥ أيلول ٢٠٢٥.

تهدف هذه الزيارة إلى الاطلاع على سير عمل الملحقية الثقافية وآلياتها في تقديم الخدمات للطلبة العراقيين، فضلاً عن متابعة إجراءات الالتزام بالأنظمة والتعليمات الإدارية والمالية، بما يعزز من جودة الأداء ويرتقي بالخدمات المقدمة. كما تأتي الزيارة في سياق الحرص على تعزيز التعاون الأكاديمي مع الجامعات والمؤسسات التعليمية الماليزية المختلفة.

وقد ضم الوفد الوزاري كلاً من:

• الدكتورة لبنى خميس مهدي، المدير العام لدائرة البحث والتطوير.
• الدكتورة سندس علي خليفة، معاون المدير العام لدائرة الشؤون الإدارية والمالية.
• الدكتورة جوان عبد زيدان، ممثلة دائرة البعثات والعلاقات الثقافية.
• السيدة إيمان طارق علي، ممثلة دائرة التدقيق والرقابة المالية.

وخلال اللقاءات والاجتماعات التي أجراها الوفد مع الملحقية، جرى بحث عدد من القضايا المهمة المتعلقة بشؤون الطلبة العراقيين الدارسين في الجامعات الماليزية، حيث تم التأكيد على ضرورة توفير بيئة دراسية ملائمة تتيح لهم التفوق والنجاح، ومعالجة بعض التحديات الإدارية والأكاديمية التي قد تواجههم، إضافة إلى متابعة شؤون الإقامة والتسجيل والاعتراف بالشهادات.

كما قدم الوفد توجيهاته بشأن أهمية التواصل المستمر بين الملحقية والجامعات الماليزية لضمان متابعة أوضاع الطلبة بصورة مباشرة، والعمل على توسيع آفاق التعاون العلمي والبحثي المشترك، بما يخدم مصلحة الطلبة العراقيين ويعزز من حضورهم الأكاديمي.

واختتم اللقاء بالتأكيد على الدور المحوري للملحقية الثقافية في بناء جسور التعاون والتفاهم بين المؤسسات التعليمية العراقية والماليزية، وتقديم الدعم اللازم للطلبة بما يسهم في نجاح مسيرتهم الدراسية وتحقيق أهداف وزارة التعليم العالي في خدمة الطلبة والمجتمع.

On Friday, September 19, 2025, the Iraqi Cultural Attaché Office in Kuala Lumpur welcomed a ministerial delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq, as part of an official visit that will continue until Thursday, September 25, 2025.

The visit aims to review the operations of the Cultural Attaché Office, evaluate the mechanisms of service delivery to Iraqi students, and ensure compliance with administrative and financial regulations, thereby contributing to the improvement of performance and the quality of services provided. It also seeks to strengthen academic cooperation with Malaysian universities and educational institutions.

The ministerial delegation included:

• Dr. Lubna Khamis Mahdi, Director General of the Research and Development Department.
• Dr. Sondos Ali Khalifa, Deputy Director General of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department.
• Dr. Jowan Abdul Zaidan, representing the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations.
• Ms. Iman Tariq Ali, representing the Audit and Financial Control Department.

During the meetings with the Attaché Office, the delegation discussed key issues related to the Iraqi students studying in Malaysian universities. The discussions emphasized the importance of ensuring a supportive academic environment that enables students to achieve success, while also addressing certain administrative and academic challenges they may encounter. The delegation also stressed the need to facilitate matters related to residency, registration, and the recognition of degrees.

Furthermore, the delegation provided guidance on the significance of maintaining regular communication between the Attaché Office and Malaysian universities to closely monitor students’ academic progress and well-being. It also encouraged efforts to expand joint academic and research cooperation, which would ultimately serve the interests of Iraqi students and enhance their academic standing.

The visit concluded with a reaffirmation of the pivotal role played by the Cultural Attaché Office in building bridges of cooperation and understanding between Iraqi and Malaysian educational institutions, while continuing to provide the necessary support to students to ensure their academic success and contribute to the mission of the Ministry of Higher Education in serving both students and society.
