The Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Kuala Lumpur Receives a Delegation from Universiti Kuala Lumpur UniKL to Discuss Prospects for Academic Cooperation
استقبلت الملحقية الثقافية العراقية في كوالالمبور، يوم 18 آذار 2026، وفداً من جامعة كوالالمبور، وذلك في مقر الملحقية، لبحث سبل تعزيز التعاون الأكاديمي والعلمي بين الجامعات العراقية ونظيراتها الماليزية
وكان في استقبال الوفد الأستاذ المشارك الدكتور عبد الجليل محمد مجيد، الملحق الثقافي العراقي، حيث رحّب بالوفد الزائر، مشيداً بالعلاقات التعليمية المتميزة بين العراق وماليزيا، وبالدور الذي تؤديه الجامعات الماليزية في دعم مسيرة التعليم العالي والتخصصات التقنية
وخلال اللقاء، قدّم الوفد الضيف عرضاً عن جامعة كوالالمبور، باعتبارها من الجامعات التقنية الرائدة في ماليزيا، والمتخصصة في مجالات الهندسة والتكنولوجيا والعلوم التطبيقية، معربين عن رغبتهم في توسيع آفاق التعاون مع المؤسسات الأكاديمية العراقية
كما جرى بحث فرص التعاون المشترك، بما في ذلك برامج التبادل الأكاديمي، واستقطاب الطلبة، وبناء شراكات استراتيجية في مجالات التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، بما يحقق المصالح المشتركة للجانبين
من جانبه، أكد الملحق الثقافي حرص الملحقية على دعم أواصر التعاون العلمي، وتسهيل التواصل بين الجامعات العراقية والماليزية، بما يسهم في تطوير البرامج الأكاديمية وتعزيز جودة التعليم العالي
وفي ختام اللقاء، أعرب الجانبان عن تطلعهما إلى استمرار التنسيق والتعاون، بما يعزز العلاقات الأكاديمية ويفتح آفاقاً جديدة للشراكة بين المؤسسات التعليمية في البلدين
On 18 March 2026, the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Kuala Lumpur received a delegation from Universiti Kuala Lumpur at the premises of the Cultural Attaché, to discuss ways of enhancing academic and scientific cooperation between Iraqi universities and their Malaysian counterparts.
The delegation was received by Associate Professor Dr. Abduljalil Mohammed Majeed, the Iraqi Cultural Attaché, who welcomed the visiting delegation and commended the distinguished educational relations between Iraq and Malaysia, as well as the role of Malaysian universities in supporting higher education, particularly in technical fields.
During the meeting, the delegation presented an overview of Universiti Kuala Lumpur as one of Malaysia’s leading technical universities, specialising in engineering, technology, and applied sciences. They also expressed their interest in expanding cooperation with Iraqi academic institutions.
Both sides discussed potential areas of collaboration, including academic exchange programmes, student recruitment, and the establishment of strategic partnerships in higher education and scientific research, in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both countries.
For his part, the Cultural Attaché reaffirmed the Attaché’s commitment to supporting academic cooperation and facilitating communication between Iraqi and Malaysian universities, with the aim of advancing academic programmes and enhancing the quality of higher education.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their aspiration to maintain coordination and cooperation, in a way that strengthens academic relations and opens new horizons for partnership between educational institutions in both countries.
