في إطار جهودها الرامية إلى تعزيز التعاون الأكاديمي والانفتاح الدولي بين الجامعات العراقية ونظيراتها الماليزية، شارك المستشار الثقافي العراقي في كوالالمبور، الأستاذ المساعد الدكتور عبد الجليل محمد مجيد، في اجتماع افتراضي جمع بين جامعة النهرين في جمهورية العراق وجامعة كيبانغسان ماليزيا (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia – UKM)، خُصص لمناقشة مشروع مذكرة تفاهم بين الجامعتين

وشهد الاجتماع مناقشة البنود الرئيسة لمذكرة التفاهم، والآليات المقترحة لتفعيل التعاون المشترك في مجالات التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، بما يشمل تبادل الخبرات الأكاديمية، وتعزيز التعاون البحثي، وتنفيذ البرامج العلمية المشتركة، وتطوير العلاقات المؤسسية بين الجامعتين

وأكد الأستاذ المساعد الدكتور عبد الجليل محمد مجيد خلال الاجتماع حرص الملحقية الثقافية العراقية في كوالالمبور على دعم المبادرات التي تسهم في بناء شراكات استراتيجية بين الجامعات العراقية والجامعات الماليزية، بما يعزز من تدويل التعليم العالي، ويرتقي بمستوى التعاون العلمي والبحثي، ويخدم المصالح الأكاديمية المشتركة

كما أعرب ممثلو جامعتي النهرين وUKM عن تطلعهم إلى استكمال إجراءات توقيع مذكرة التفاهم، بما يفتح آفاقاً أوسع للتعاون في مجالات البحث العلمي، وتبادل أعضاء الهيئتين التدريسية والطلبة، وتنظيم المؤتمرات والندوات العلمية، وتنفيذ المشاريع الأكاديمية المشتركة

ويأتي هذا الاجتماع ضمن سلسلة المبادرات التي تدعمها الملحقية الثقافية العراقية في كوالالمبور لتعزيز العلاقات الأكاديمية بين مؤسسات التعليم العالي في جمهورية العراق ومملكة ماليزيا، وترسيخ الشراكات العلمية بما يسهم في الارتقاء بجودة التعليم والبحث العلمي في البلدين

Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Kuala Lumpur Participates in an Online Meeting Between Al-Nahrain University and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) to Discuss a Memorandum of Understanding

As part of its efforts to strengthen academic cooperation and international engagement between Iraqi universities and their Malaysian counterparts, the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Kuala Lumpur, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdul Jaleel Mohamad Majeed, participated in an online meeting between Al-Nahrain University in the Republic of Iraq and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) to discuss a proposed Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities.

The meeting addressed the main provisions of the proposed Memorandum of Understanding and the mechanisms for activating cooperation in higher education and scientific research. The discussions covered the exchange of academic expertise, the development of joint research activities, the implementation of collaborative academic programmes, and the strengthening of institutional relations between the two universities.

During the meeting, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdul Jaleel Mohamad Majeed reaffirmed the Iraqi Cultural Attaché’s commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at establishing strategic partnerships between Iraqi and Malaysian universities. He emphasized the importance of such partnerships in promoting the internationalization of higher education, advancing scientific and research cooperation, and serving the shared academic interests of both sides.

Representatives of Al-Nahrain University and UKM also expressed their aspiration to complete the necessary procedures for signing the Memorandum of Understanding, which would open broader opportunities for cooperation in scientific research, the exchange of academic staff and students, the organization of conferences and scientific seminars, and the implementation of joint academic projects.

This meeting forms part of a series of initiatives supported by the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Kuala Lumpur to strengthen academic relations between higher education institutions in the Republic of Iraq and Malaysia and to establish sustainable scientific partnerships that contribute to the advancement of education and research in both countries.
