شاركت الملحقية الثقافية العراقية في كوالالمبور في وقفة الصمت والحداد التي نظمتها سفارة جمهورية العراق في كوالالمبور يوم الجمعة الموافق 12 حزيران 2026، إحياءً لذكرى شهداء مجزرة سبايكر الأليمة، واستذكاراً لتضحياتهم الخالدة

ومثّل الملحقية الثقافية في هذه المناسبة كل من الملحق الثقافي العراقي في ماليزيا الأستاذ المساعد الدكتور عبد الجليل محمد مجيد، والموظف الإداري الدكتور عمار صبري مجيد، إلى جانب موظفي سفارة جمهورية العراق في كوالالمبور

وتضمنت المراسم وقفة صمت وقراءة سورة الفاتحة ترحماً على أرواح الشهداء الذين سقطوا ضحية هذه الجريمة الإرهابية البشعة، واستحضاراً لمعاني التضحية والفداء التي جسدها أبناء العراق في مواجهة الإرهاب

وفي كلمة ألقاها بهذه المناسبة، أكد القائم بالأعمال المؤقت في سفارة جمهورية العراق لدى ماليزيا، المستشار أحمد غانم عبد الجبار، أن ذكرى شهداء مجزرة سبايكر ستبقى حاضرة في وجدان العراقيين، وأن دماء الشهداء الزكية ستظل رمزاً للوحدة الوطنية والصمود والتكاتف في مواجهة الإرهاب والتطرف

وأشار إلى أن العراق، وهو يستذكر شهداءه الأبرار، يواصل مسيرته بثقة نحو المستقبل مستنداً إلى إرثه الحضاري العريق وإرادة أبنائه المخلصين، مؤكداً أن تضحيات الشهداء ستبقى منارة تهدي الأجيال نحو بناء عراق آمن ومستقر ومزدهر

The Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Kuala Lumpur Participates in Commemorating the Victims of the Speicher Massacre

The Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Kuala Lumpur participated in the moment of silence and memorial ceremony organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur on Friday, 12 June 2026, to commemorate the victims of the tragic Speicher Massacre and honor their enduring sacrifices.

Representing the Iraqi Cultural Attaché at the event were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abduljaleel Mohammed Majeed, Iraqi Cultural Counselor in Malaysia, and Dr. Ammar Sabri Majeed, Administrative Officer, alongside the staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur.

The ceremony included a moment of silence and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah in memory of the martyrs who lost their lives in this heinous terrorist crime, while paying tribute to the values of sacrifice and patriotism they embodied in the face of terrorism.

In his remarks on the occasion, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Malaysia, Mr. Ahmed Ghanem Abdul Jabbar, emphasized that the memory of the victims of the Speicher Massacre will remain deeply rooted in the hearts of all Iraqis, and that their pure blood will continue to symbolize national unity, resilience, and solidarity against terrorism and extremism.

He further noted that Iraq, while honoring the memory of its martyrs, continues to move confidently toward the future, drawing strength from its rich historical heritage and the unwavering determination of its people. He affirmed that the sacrifices of the martyrs will remain a guiding light for future generations in building a safe, stable, and prosperous Iraq.

The Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Kuala Lumpur reaffirmed its commitment to participating in national events that honor Iraq’s martyrs and preserve their memory, in recognition of their sacrifices and dedication to the homeland.
