زار وفد مشترك من الملحقية الثقافية العراقية والجامعة العراقية جامعة السلطان ادريس UPSI الماليزية يوم 25-7-2024. ضم الوفد السيدة المستشار الثقافي العراقي الأستاذ المساعد دكتور أحلام نعمة لفته، والأستاذ الدكتور خميس عواد زيدان مساعد رئيس الجامعة العراقية للشؤون العلمية، وعمداء كليات طب الأسنان والهندسة والعلوم الإنسانية والقانون، ومدير قسم العلاقات الدولية في الجامعة العراقية.
جرى للوفد الزائر استقبال رسمي من قبل جامعة قسم العلاقات الدولية في جامعة السلطان ادريس UPSI، حيث استقبلهم مساعدو رئيس جامعة السلطان ادريس UPSI، وتم تنظيم اجتماعان موسعان ضمت كوادر متقدمة من الطرفين. لاحقاً، تم استقبال الوفد الزائر بحفاوة كبيرة من قبل السيد رئيس جامعة السلطان ادريس UPSI، البروفيسور داتو’ الدكتور محمد أمين بن محمد تاف.
خلال الزيارة، اطلع الوفد على عدد من المختبرات والورش والمرافق التعليمية الخاصة بالجامعة. تأتي هذه الخطوة تعزيزاً للعلاقات بين جامعة السلطان إدريس الماليزية والجامعة العراقية، حيث تم توقيع خطاب نوايا مشترك والتأكيد على تفعيل العمل المشترك في المرحلة القادمة. من المتوقع أن يسهم هذا التعاون في توفير فرص مشتركة من خلال التمويل المشترك للبحث العلمي والنشر المشترك وفق مفهوم المنح المتبادلة بين الطرفين “Matching Grants”، والذي سيتم العمل به حال إكمال الترتيبات الخاصة بين الطرفين.
وتؤكد الملحقية الثقافية العراقية في كوالالمبور عن سعادتها بهذا التعاون الكبير بين الجامعتين، مجددةً مساندتها لأي تعاون علمي أو ثقافي بين الجامعات العراقية والماليزية.

A joint delegation from the Iraqi Cultural Attaché and the Al-Iraqia University visited UPSI Malaysia on July 25, 2024. The delegation included Assistant Professor Dr. Ahlam N. Lafta, the Iraqi Cultural Counsellor, Professor Dr. Khamis Awad Zaidan, Assistant President of the Al-Iraqia University for Scientific Affairs, along with the Deans of the Colleges of Dentistry, Engineering, Humanities, and Law, and the Director of the International Relations Department at the Al-Iraqia University.
The delegation received an official welcome from UPSI international relation department staff, led by UPSI’s Deputy Vice chancellor. Two extensive meetings were organized, involving senior staff from both parties. Later, the delegation was warmly received by UPSI’s Vice chancellor, Professor Dato’ Dr. Md Amin bin Md Taff.
During the visit, the delegation toured several laboratories, workshops, and educational facilities at the university. This visit aims to strengthen the relationship between Sultan Idris University Malaysia UPSI and the Al-Iraqia University. A Letter of intent was signed, emphasizing the activation of joint work in the upcoming phase. This cooperation is expected to provide joint opportunities through the joint funding of scientific research and co-publications under the concept of “Matching Grants,” which will be implemented once the necessary arrangements between the two parties are completed.
The Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Kuala Lumpur expresses its happiness with this significant cooperation between the two universities and reiterates its support for any academic or cultural cooperation between Iraqi and Malaysian universities.
