زار وفد من الجامعة العراقية برئاسة السيد مساعد رئيس الجامعة الأستاذ الدكتور خميس عواد زيدان، وبرفقة مجموعة من العمداء وممثل الملحقية الثقافية العراقية الدكتور صلاح مهدي خليل، جامعة تيناغا الوطنية الماليزية يوم 23 يوليو 2024. تهدف هذه الزيارة إلى تعضيد التعاون القائم وبحث مجالات توسيع التعاون العلمي بين الجامعتين.
استقبل الوفد العراقي السيد رئيس جامعة تيناغا الوطنية الدكتور خيرول صالح محمد، بمعية مساعدي رئيس الجامعة ومسؤولة العلاقات الدولية وكادر أكاديمي من الجامعة. تأتي هذه الزيارة تعزيزاً للجهود الحالية التي أثمرت في فترة سابقة عن التوصل إلى تفاهمات حول مذكرة تفاهم سيتم توقيعها قريباً بين الجامعتين في العراق.
تم خلال اللقاء توجيه دعوة رسمية لجامعة تيناغا الوطنية لزيارة الجامعة العراقية في بغداد لتوقيع مذكرة التفاهم التي ستكون أساساً قانونياً للكثير من الأنشطة العلمية والثقافية التي اتفق عليها مسؤولو الجامعتين. كما عقد الوفد اجتماعاً موسعاً بحضور كافة المختصين بجوانب التعاون بين الجامعتين وتم الاتفاق فيه على جملة من الأمور العلمية التي ستنفذ في القريب العاجل.
بعد الاجتماع، قام الوفد الزائر بزيارة مختلف مرافق الجامعة برفقة الأستاذ المساعد الدكتور فراس باسم النعيمي، حيث اطلع الوفد على المراكز البحثية وعلى مركز بحوث الطاقة الوطني في ماليزيا، والذي من المؤمل أن يستقطب باحثين من مختلف الدول، ومنها العراق، خلال الفترة القادمة وفق مذكرات التفاهم التي عقدتها جامعة الطاقة الوطنية الماليزية مع الجامعات العراقية. جرى خلال اللقاء تبادل الهدايا التذكارية بهذه المناسبة والتقاط الصور الرسمية.

A delegation from the Iraqi University, headed by the Assistant President of the Iraqi University, Professor Dr. Khamis Awad Zaidan, accompanied by a group of deans and the representative of the Iraqi Cultural Attaché, Dr. Salah Mahdi Khaleel, visited Tenaga National University in Malaysia on July 23, 2024. The visit aimed to strengthen existing cooperation and explore areas for expanding scientific collaboration between the two universities.
The Iraqi delegation was received by the Vice Chancellor of Tenaga National University, Prof. Dr. Khairul Saleh Muhammad, along with the university’s Deputy vice chancellor, the head of international relations, and academic staff. This visit comes as part of ongoing efforts that previously resulted in understandings about a memorandum of understanding that will be signed soon between the universities in Iraq.
During the meeting, an official invitation was extended to Tenaga National University to visit the Iraqi University in Baghdad and to sign the memorandum of understanding, which will serve as a legal basis for many scientific and cultural activities agreed upon by officials of both universities. The delegation also held an extensive meeting with all specialists in aspects of cooperation between the two universities, where several scientific matters to be implemented shortly were agreed upon.
Following the meeting, the visiting delegation toured various university facilities, accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Firas Basim Al-Naemi, and inspected the research centers and the National Energy Research Center in Malaysia. This center is expected to attract researchers from various countries, including Iraq, in the coming period based on the memoranda of understanding concluded by the Tenaga National University with Iraqi universities. During the meeting, commemorative gifts were exchanged on this occasion, and official photos were taken.
