في خطوة مميزة، وافق معالي وزير التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي العراقيي الدكتور نعيم العبودي المحترم على إطلاق برنامج الماجستير في إدارة الأعمال للمؤسسات الصحية بالتعاون مع جامعة UPM الماليزية، ابتداءً من العام الدراسي 2024-2025 وعلى النفقة الخاصة فقط.
تأتي هذه المبادرة بجهود مجلس إدارة جامعة الفراهيدي بهدف جذب برامج دراسات عليا من جامعات عالمية مرموقة وتوفير فرص لإكمال الدراسات العليا وتقليل متطلبات السفر. وقد تم توقيع اتفاقية الشراكة بين جامعة الفراهيدي وجامعة UPM من قبل رئيس جامعة الفراهيدي، الأستاذ الدكتور طارق حفظي، و الاستاذ الدكتور اسماعيل حافظ ومساعد رئيس جامعة UPM
وأشار رئيس قسم العلاقات الدولية في جامعة الفراهيدي إلى أن برنامج الماجستير في إدارة الأعمال للمؤسسات الصحية (MBA for Health Institutions) هو الأول من نوعه في العراق، بالشراكة مع جامعة بوترا الماليزية (UPM)، التي تحتل مكانة متميزة في تصنيف شنغهاي العالمي. سيتم تقديم البرنامج في جامعة الفراهيدي وفقًا للمناهج والمقررات الدراسية المعتمدة في جامعة بوترا الماليزية، وسيمنح الخريجون شهادة من جامعة UPM، مع تقديم التدريس والإشراف في جامعة الفراهيدي.
سيتضمن البرنامج مقررات دراسية وبحثية مشتركة يتم تقديمها بشكل متزامن مع جامعة UPM الماليزية. يُقبل في هذا البرنامج حملة شهادة البكالوريوس أو ما يعادلها في التخصصات العلمية والإنسانية، ويشترط الحصول على شهادة اللغة الإنجليزية (IELTS أو TOEFL) للقبول.
تُعتبر جامعة UPM إحدى الجامعات الحكومية الرائدة في ماليزيا، حيث تحتل مراكز متقدمة في التصنيفات العالمية مثل تصنيف شنغهاي وتصنيف التايمز البريطاني وتصنيف QS.

In a notable move, the esteemed Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naiem Al- Abody has approved the launch of a Master’s program in Business Administration for Health Institutions in cooperation with UPM Malaysia, starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, exclusively on a self-funded basis.
This initiative, driven by the Board of Directors at Al-Farahidi University aims to attract graduate programs from prestigious global universities, providing opportunities for postgraduate studies and reducing the need for travel. The partnership agreement between Al-Farahidi University and UPM Malaysia was signed by the President of Al-Farahidi University, Professor Dr. Tariq Hafizi, and YBhg. Prof. Dr. Ismi Arif Ismail the deputy vice chancellor of UPM.
The Head of the International Relations Department at Al-Farahidi University indicated that the Master’s program in Business Administration for Health Institutions (MBA for Health Institutions) is the first of its kind in Iraq, in collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), which holds a distinguished position in the Shanghai global ranking. The program will be offered at Al-Farahidi University following the curricula and study plans approved by UPM, with the degree being awarded by UPM. Teaching and supervision will be conducted at Al-Farahidi University.
The program will include joint courses and research components presented concurrently with UPM Malaysia. Holders of a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in scientific and humanities disciplines are eligible to apply for this program. An English language certificate (IELTS or TOEFL) is required for admission.
UPM is one of the leading public universities in Malaysia, holding advanced positions in global rankings such as the Shanghai Ranking, Times Higher Education Ranking, and QS World University Rankings.
