بتاريخ ٢ أغسطس 2025، شارك ممثل الملحقية الثقافية العراقية في ماليزيا في الحفل الرسمي الذي أقامته جامعة هيريوت وات ماليزيا في حرمها في بوتراجايا، احتفاءً بإطلاق برنامج الماجستير الجديد في الذكاء الاصطناعي والروبوتات (Robotics & Mechatronic Engineering).

ويُعد البرنامج أحد أبرز المبادرات التعليمية التي أطلقتها الجامعة، إذ يتماشى مع الاستراتيجيات الوطنية مثل سياسة الثورة الصناعية الرابعة (4IR)، ومخطط الاقتصاد الرقمي الماليزي، وخطة “بوتراجايا المدنية الخضراء 2025″، ويهدف إلى دعم النمو الذكي والمستدام من خلال الابتكار التقني. كما يتضمن البرنامج حوافز تعليمية متميزة، من بينها منحة دراسية بنسبة 20 % للطلبة الملتحقين اعتبارًا من سبتمبر 2025، وفرص المشاركة في “مدرسة الشتاء للذكاء الاصطناعي والروبوتات” المقرر عقدها عام 2027 في الـ National Robotarium، إضافة إلى تدريبات عملية مع شركات رائدة مثل Aerodyne Geospatial، وKUKA Robot Automation، Robopreneur وغيرها.

وخلال الحفل، شارك ممثل الملحقية في نقاشات جانبية بنّاءة مع رئيس جامعة هيريوت وات ماليزيا وممثلي الشركات الداعمة للبرنامج، حيث جرى تبادل الأفكار حول سبل التعاون الأكاديمي والبحثي في مجالات الذكاء الاصطناعي والتقنيات المتقدمة، وإمكانية استفادة الطلبة العراقيين من الفرص التعليمية والبحثية التي يوفرها هذا البرنامج.

يُذكر أن جامعة هيريوت وات ماليزيا، المقامة على حرم جامعي أخضر في بوتراجايا منذ عام 2014، تعد من أبرز المؤسسات التعليمية البريطانية العالمية، بتخصصات متنوعة وفرص تعليمية حديثة تتكامل مع الرؤية الوطنية للتنمية المستدامة.

On 2 August 2025, the representative of the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Malaysia attended the official ceremony held at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia’s Putrajaya campus to mark the launch of the new Master’s programme in Robotics & Mechatronic Engineering.

The programme is one of the university’s flagship academic initiatives, aligned with national strategies such as the 4IR Policy, the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint, and the Putrajaya Green City 2025 plan, aiming to foster smart and sustainable growth through technological innovation. It also offers notable incentives, including a 20% scholarship for the September 2025 intake, participation in the 2027 AI & Robotics Winter School at the National Robotarium, and internship opportunities with leading companies such as Aerodyne Geospatial, KUKA Robot Automation, and Robopreneur.

During the event, the Attaché representative engaged in productive side discussions with the President of Heriot-Watt University Malaysia and representatives of the programme’s supporting companies. The conversations focused on potential avenues for academic and research collaboration in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies, as well as ways Iraqi students could benefit from the educational and research opportunities offered by the programme.
