شاركت الملحقية الثقافية العراقية في كوالالمبور بفعالية بارزة في المؤتمر الدولي الرابع للهندسة والتكنولوجيا المتقدمة (ICEAT 2025)، الذي أقامته كلية الهندسة بجامعة القادسية بالتعاون مع جامعة Sunway الماليزية، في حرم جامعة Sunway في كوالالمبور، خلال يومي 23 و24 تموز 2025.
وقد ألقى ممثل الملحقية الثقافية كلمة ترحيبية خلال الجلسة الافتتاحية، أشار فيها إلى أهمية هذا المؤتمر باعتباره الأول من نوعه برعاية عراقية على الأراضي الماليزية، ودعا إلى تعزيز جسور التعاون العلمي والثقافي بين الجامعتين بما يسهم في ترسيخ مكانة البحث العلمي العراقي دوليًا.
وقد تضمن المؤتمر برنامجًا حافلًا بالأعمال العلمية، إذ بلغ عدد الأوراق المقدَّمة 184 ورقة علمية، وقُبل منها 118 ورقة بعد اجتيازها التقييم العلمي الدقيق، بينما تم رفض 66 ورقة، مما يعكس جودة الإجراءات التنظيمية للمؤتمر.
كما شهد المؤتمر عرضًا لأقسام بحثية متخصصة في مجالات متعددة مثل:
- الهندسة الميكانيكية
- الهندسة الكيميائية
- الهندسة المدنية
- الهندسة الكهربائية
- هندسة الحاسوب
- الذكاء الاصطناعي
بالإضافة إلى محاضرات علمية متقدمة وورش عمل تدريبية حول أساليب كتابة ونشر البحوث العلمية، وعرض نتائح بحوث في مجالات الطاقة المتجددة، التغير المناخي، والبناء المستدام.
من جهة أخرى، أقيم المؤتمر بنمط هجين، حيث جرت الجلسات حضورياً في جامعة Sunway في ماليزيا، وجزئيًا عبر المنصة الإلكترونية Microsoft Teams، ما أكسب الحدث طابعًا عالميًا متميزًا وساهم في اتساع المشاركة.
أُعلن أيضًا أن الأوراق المقبولة ستُنشر في مجلة EPSTEM المفهرسة ضمن قاعدة بيانات Scopus، مع ترشيح عدد من الأوراق المتميزة للنشر في مجلات هندسية عراقية رفيعة المستوى.
وفي ختام المؤتمر، عبّر الحاضرون عن تقديرهم لحسن التنظيم، داعين إلى استمرار عقد هذه اللقاءات العلمية التي تفتح آفاقاً بحثية وأكاديمية جديدة، وتعزز من التعاون بين الجامعات العراقية ونظيراتها العالمية.

The Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Kuala Lumpur played a prominent role in the 4th International Conference on Engineering and Advanced Technology (ICEAT 2025), organized by the College of Engineering at the University of Al-Qadisiyah in collaboration with Sunway University, held at Sunway University in Kuala Lumpur, on 23–24 July 2025.
A representative of the Cultural Attaché delivered a welcoming address during the opening session, noting the significance of this being the first Iraqi-led conference held on Malaysian soil, and encouraging strengthened scientific and cultural cooperation between the two universities to bolster the global standing of Iraqi research.
The conference featured a rich and rigorous academic program. A total of 184 papers were submitted, of which 118 were accepted following thorough peer review, and 66 were rejected, highlighting the conference’s high-quality selection process .
Sessions covered a diverse array of engineering disciplines:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Artificial Intelligence
Alongside advanced academic lectures, the conference included training workshops on scientific research writing and publication, with presentations addressing themes like renewable energy, climate change, and sustainable building design.
Delivering in a hybrid format, the conference featured in-person sessions at Sunway University and online participation via Microsoft Teams, broadening international involvement.
It was also announced that all accepted papers will be published in the EPSTEM journal, indexed in Scopus, with several outstanding papers nominated for publication in prestigious Iraqi engineering journals.
The conference concluded with participants commending the excellent organization and expressing their eagerness for future editions, emphasizing the role of such events in fostering research opportunities and strengthening academic ties between Iraqi institutions and global partners.
