زار السيد المستشار الثقافي الأستاذ المساعد الدكتور عبد الجليل محمد مجيد، الملحق الثقافي الجديد في سفارة جمهورية العراق في ماليزيا، مقر السفارة العراقية يوم الثلاثاء الموافق 17 سبتمبر 2024. حيث تم استقبال السيد المستشار بحفاوة من قبل السيد القائم بالأعمال الأستاذ محمد فالح، وكادر السفارة العراقية، حيث عبّر الجميع عن ترحيبهم بوصوله إلى ماليزيا وبدءه مهامه الرسمية.
بدأ اللقاء بكلمة ترحيبية ألقاها السيد القائم بالأعمال، حيث رحب بالسيد المستشار الجديد وأثنى على الجهود المبذولة من قبل وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي العراقية في دعم وتعزيز العلاقات الأكاديمية مع ماليزيا. كما أكد السيد القائم بالأعمال على أهمية الدور الذي تلعبه الملحقية الثقافية في تفعيل التعاون العلمي والثقافي بين البلدين، مشيرًا إلى ضرورة الاهتمام الخاص بالطلبة العراقيين في ماليزيا وتقديم كل الدعم اللازم لهم.
تناول اللقاء عددًا من المحاور الرئيسية، أبرزها: تقديم التسهيلات اللازمة للطلبة العراقيين في ماليزيا، متابعة شؤونهم الأكاديمية والإدارية، بالإضافة إلى التأكيد على ضرورة تمثيل العراق في المحافل العلمية والثقافية الإقليمية والدولية. وشدد السيد القائم بالأعمال على ضرورة التعاون الوثيق بين السفارة والملحقية الثقافية لضمان تقديم أفضل الخدمات للطلبة والجالية العراقية.
من جانبه، عبّر السيد المستشار الثقافي الدكتور عبد الجليل محمد مجيد عن شكره وامتنانه للسيد القائم بالأعمال وكادر السفارة على حفاوة الاستقبال. كما أعرب عن تقديره للجهود المبذولة من قبل السفارة العراقية في تسهيل جميع الإجراءات التي تهم الطلبة والجالية العراقية في ماليزيا. وأكد على أن الملحقية الثقافية ستواصل العمل جنبًا إلى جنب مع السفارة لتقديم أفضل الخدمات الأكاديمية والثقافية، مشيرًا إلى أن وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي العراقية تضع دعم الطلبة العراقيين وتسهيل شؤونهم في مقدمة أولوياتها.
كما قدم السيد المستشار تصورًا متكاملًا عن الخطط المستقبلية للملحقية الثقافية، والتي تشمل تعزيز التعاون مع الجامعات الماليزية، تنظيم فعاليات علمية وثقافية تستهدف الطلبة العراقيين والجالية العراقية، بالإضافة إلى تقديم الدعم الأكاديمي والإرشادي للطلبة الجدد والراغبين في استكمال دراستهم في ماليزيا. وأكد أن الملحقية ستعمل على متابعة جميع الشؤون الأكاديمية والإدارية للطلبة من خلال فريق عمل متخصص يسعى لتحقيق أفضل النتائج.
وفي ختام اللقاء، تم التقاط الصور التذكارية بهذه المناسبة، تعبيرًا عن الروح الإيجابية التي سادت اللقاء والآمال الكبيرة التي يعقدها الجانبان على التعاون المستقبلي في مختلف المجالات الأكاديمية والثقافية.

On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, the Cultural Counselor, Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulgaleel Mohammed Majeed, the new Cultural Attaché of the Republic of Iraq in Malaysia, paid a visit to the Iraqi Embassy in Malaysia. He was warmly received by Mr. Mohammed Faleh, the Charge d’Affaires, along with the embassy staff, who expressed their sincere welcome upon his arrival in Malaysia to officially begin his duties.
The meeting commenced with a welcoming speech delivered by the Charge d’Affaires, in which he warmly greeted the new Counselor and praised the efforts of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in supporting and strengthening academic relations with Malaysia. He highlighted the significant role of the Cultural Attaché’s office in fostering academic and cultural cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing the special attention required for Iraqi students in Malaysia and the need to provide them with all necessary support.
The meeting covered several key points, including the provision of necessary facilitation for Iraqi students in Malaysia, monitoring their academic and administrative affairs, and emphasizing Iraq’s representation in regional and international academic and cultural forums. The Charge d’Affaires stressed the importance of close cooperation between the embassy and the Cultural Attaché’s office to ensure the highest level of services for Iraqi students and the Iraqi community in Malaysia.
In response, the Cultural Counselor, Dr. Abdulgalel Mohammed Majeed, expressed his gratitude to the Charge d’Affaires and the embassy staff for their warm reception. He also appreciated the efforts made by the Iraqi Embassy in facilitating all procedures concerning Iraqi students and the community in Malaysia. He reaffirmed that the Cultural Attaché’s office would continue to work hand in hand with the embassy to provide the best possible academic and cultural services, stressing that the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research places the utmost importance on supporting Iraqi students and streamlining their affairs.
Dr. Majeed outlined a comprehensive vision for the future plans of the Cultural Attaché’s office, which include enhancing cooperation with Malaysian universities, organizing academic and cultural events aimed at Iraqi students and the Iraqi community, and providing academic and advisory support to new students and those seeking to pursue their studies in Malaysia. He emphasized that the Cultural Attaché’s office would closely follow up on all academic and administrative matters for students through a dedicated team working to achieve the best results.
The meeting concluded with the taking of commemorative photos to mark the occasion, reflecting the positive atmosphere and the shared hopes for fruitful future collaboration in various academic and cultural fields.
