في يوم الجمعة الموافق 6 سبتمبر 2024، قام الموظف الاداري في الملحقية الثقافية العراقية في كوالالمبور، الدكتور صلاح مهدي خليل، بزيارة إلى كلية اللغات والأدب والترجمة في جامعة العلوم الماليزية. التقى الدكتور صلاح بعميد الكلية ومدير الدراسات العليا في الجامعة وممثل عن القسم القانوني في الجامعة، وذلك لمتابعة شؤون عدد من الطلبة العراقيين الدارسين في الجامعة.
تأتي هذه الزيارة ضمن واجبات الملحقية الثقافية في متابعة شؤون الطلبة العراقيين أولاً بأول، وتلبية الطلبات الواردة من طلبتنا الأعزاء. تم الترحيب بالدكتور صلاح مهدي خليل بشكل رسمي، ثم عقد لقاء موسع تناول المواضيع التي استدعت الزيارة، وتم الاطلاع على التفاصيل المتعلقة بالطلبة العراقيين محور اللقاء. كما تمت مناقشة عدد من الأمور الأكاديمية الأخرى.
خلال اللقاء، تم التداول حول الآليات المستقبلية المتعلقة بالطلبة العراقيين، وأهمية إشراكهم في ورش عمل تتعلق بالجوانب الإدارية والقانونية الخاصة بدراستهم. هذا من شأنه أن يوفر للطلبة فهماً كاملاً للتعليمات الخاصة بالجامعات الماليزية. كما عبرت الملحقية عن شكرها وتقديرها لجامعة العلوم الماليزية على المرونة العالية التي أبدتها في الاستجابة لكل استفسارات الملحقية، وتوفير الوثائق ذات الصلة بالاجتماع.
وتم الاتفاق على عقد ندوات مستقبلية بالتعاون مع الملحقية الثقافية لمناقشة قضايا الطلبة العراقيين. كما تم التخطيط لزيارة أخرى في المستقبل القريب لعقد لقاء موسع لمناقشة التحديات التي يواجهها الطلبة العراقيون في جامعة العلوم الماليزية، والبحث عن حلول لهذه التحديات بما يتماشى مع النظم الدراسية المعتمدة في الجامعة.
وفي ختام اللقاء، شدد الجانبان على أهمية تطوير العلاقات الطيبة التي تربط الملحقية الثقافية العراقية بجامعة العلوم الماليزية، وتعزيز التعاون المستقبلي لربط الجامعات العراقية بجامعة العلوم الماليزية.

On Friday, September 6, 2024, the Academic Advisor of the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Kuala Lumpur, Dr. Salah Mahdi Khaleel, visited the Faculty of Languages, Literature, and Translation at the University of Science, Malaysia. Dr. Salah met with the Dean of the Faculty, the Director of Institute of Postgraduate Studies (IPS) at USM , and a representative from the university’s legal department to discuss the affairs of several Iraqi students studying at the university.
This visit is part of the Cultural Attaché’s responsibilities to follow up on the students’ matters and respond promptly to any requests from our dear students. Dr. Salah was officially welcomed, after which an extensive meeting was held to address the topics that prompted the visit. Detailed discussions were held on all matters related to the students, as well as various other academic issues.
During the meeting, future mechanisms concerning Iraqi students were discussed, emphasizing the importance of involving Iraqi students in workshops related to the administrative and legal aspects of their studies. This would provide them with a comprehensive understanding of the guidelines of Malaysian universities. The Attaché expressed its gratitude and appreciation to the University of Science, Malaysia, for its high flexibility in responding to all inquiries from the Cultural Attaché and for providing all relevant documents for the meeting.
Both parties agreed to hold future seminars in collaboration with the Cultural Attaché to discuss Iraqi student issues. Additionally, another visit is planned in the near future for a broader discussion on the challenges faced by Iraqi students at the University of Science, Malaysia, and the mechanisms that could be adopted to resolve these challenges in accordance with the university’s academic regulations.
At the end of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of continuing to develop the good relations between the University of Science, Malaysia, and the Iraqi Cultural Attaché, as well as future cooperation to link Iraqi universities with the University of Science, Malaysia.
