زار وفد من الجامعة العراقية برئاسة الأستاذ الدكتور خميس عواد زيدان، مساعد رئيس الجامعة للشؤون العلمية، جامعة ملايا الماليزية (UM) في يوم 24 يوليو 2024. ورافقه وفد يضم عمداء كليات الهندسة وطب الأسنان والعلوم الإسلامية والقانون، بالإضافة إلى مدير قسم العلاقات الدولية في الجامعة العراقية.
تم استقبال الوفد الزائر استقبالاً رسمياً من قبل مساعد رئيس جامعة ملايا الماليزية وعدد من رؤساء الأقسام ومديرة قسم التعاون الدولي. خلال اللقاء، تم بحث القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك والاتفاق على جملة من النقاط التي يمكن الانطلاق منها لتعزيز أواصر التعاون العلمي والأكاديمي بما يسهم في تطوير العلاقات بين البلدين.
تأتي هذه الزيارة في إطار جولة أجراها وفد الجامعة العراقية في ماليزيا بتنسيق مع الملحقية الثقافية العراقية، بهدف المضي في إطار تدويل الجامعات العراقية وربطها مع نظيراتها الماليزية. تم بعد ذلك التقاط الصور التذكارية وتبادل الهدايا بهذه المناسبة.

On July 24, 2024, a delegation from the Al-Iraqia University, headed by Professor Dr. Khamis Awad Zidan, the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, visited the University of Malaya (UM). The delegation included deans from the faculties of Engineering, Dentistry, Islamic Sciences, and Law, along with the Director of the International Relations Department of the Al-Iraqia University.
The visiting delegation was officially received by the Deputy vice chancellor of the University of Malaya and several department heads, along with the Director of the International Cooperation Department. During the meeting, issues of mutual interest were discussed, and several points were agreed upon to enhance scientific and academic cooperation, contributing to the development of relations between the two countries.
This visit comes as part of a tour conducted by the Al-Iraqia University delegation in Malaysia, coordinated by the Iraqi Cultural Attaché, with the aim of advancing the internationalization of Iraqi universities and linking them with their Malaysian counterparts. Subsequently, commemorative photos were taken, and gifts were exchanged on this occasion.
