استقبلت الملحقية الثقافية العراقية في سفارة جمهورية العراق في كوالالمبور يوم الاثنين الموافق 27-5-2024 وفداً رفيع المستوى من كلية العمارة والتصميم في جامعة بوترا ماليزيا (UPM). تألف الوفد من الشخصيات التالية:

الأستاذ المشارك تانسيري .د. محمد جوهاري محمد يوسف – عميد كلية العمارة والتصميم  (FRSB) – UPM

الأستاذة المشاركة د. زالينا شاري – نائب العميد للشؤون الأكاديمية والدولية وشؤون الطلاب والخريجين – UPM

الدكتورة المهندسة عاثيرا عزمي – رئيسة قسم العمارة – UPM

السيدة مديحة هلاني – إدارية الوحدة الإدارية – UPM

الدكتورة سارة عبدالكريم صالح – كلية التصميم والعمارة – UPM

تأتي هذه الزيارة في إطار تعزيز العلاقات الأكاديمية والعلمية بين المؤسسات التعليمية في العراق وماليزيا. وأعرب وفد جامعة بوترا ماليزيا عن رغبتهم الكبيرة في إقامة شراكات علمية وأكاديمية مع الجامعات العراقية المختلفة، حيث تتميز الجامعات العراقية بأقسام تخصصية مرموقة في مجالي العمارة والتصميم الداخلي.

تناول الاجتماع بحث سبل التعاون الممكنة، وتم الاتفاق على عدة خطوات مهمة لتعزيز هذا التعاون. منها التنسيق لعقد لقاءات مع بعض الجامعات العراقية لبحث تفاصيل الشراكات المحتملة، بالإضافة إلى تنظيم ورش عمل وندوات علمية مشتركة. يهدف هذا التعاون إلى تبادل الخبرات والمعرفة بين الجانبين، بما يعزز من جودة التعليم والبحث العلمي في كلا البلدين.

وقد أثنى الوفد الماليزي على المستوى الأكاديمي والبحثي الذي تتمتع به الجامعات العراقية، مؤكدين على أهمية هذه الشراكة في فتح آفاق جديدة للطلبة والأساتذة على حد سواء.

On Monday, May 27, 2024, the Iraqi Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur warmly welcomed a high-level delegation from the Faculty of Design and Architecture at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The delegation comprised the following distinguished members:

Assoc. Prof. Ts. Gs. Dr. Mohd Johari Mohd Yusof – Dean of FRSB – UPM

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zalina Shari – Deputy Dean of Academic, International and Student Affairs & Alumni – UPM

Ar. Dr. Athira Azmi – Head of Architecture Department – UPM

Madam Madiha Halani – Corporate Unit Admin – UPM

Dr. Sarah Abdulkareem Salih – Faculty of Design and Architecture – UPM

This visit aims to strengthen academic and scientific relations between educational institutions in Iraq and Malaysia. The delegation from Universiti Putra Malaysia expressed a keen interest in establishing scientific and academic partnerships with various Iraqi universities, highlighting the distinguished architecture and interior design departments at Iraqi universities.

The meeting discussed potential avenues for cooperation and resulted in an agreement on several key steps to enhance this collaboration. These steps include coordinating meetings with several Iraqi universities to explore potential partnerships in detail, as well as organizing joint workshops and scientific seminars. The goal of this cooperation is to facilitate the exchange of expertise and knowledge between the two sides, thereby enhancing the quality of education and research in both countries.

The Malaysian delegation commended the academic and research standards of Iraqi universities, emphasizing the importance of this partnership in opening new horizons for both students and faculty members.
