<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On 8 December 2025<\/strong>, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur<\/strong> received Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Wadai<\/strong>, Vice President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University<\/strong> for Scientific Affairs, along with his accompanying delegation.
The meeting was attended by the Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires a.i., Minister-Counsellor Ahmed Ghanem Abduljabbar<\/strong>, and the Iraqi Cultural Attach\u00e9 in Kuala Lumpur, Dr. Abduljaleel Mohammed Majeed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation included senior academic leaders from the university, comprising four deans of technical institutes<\/strong> and two department directors<\/strong>. The meeting discussed prospects for academic and scientific cooperation between Iraqi universities and their Malaysian counterparts, with a focus on research collaboration, academic program development, and strengthening institutional partnerships, contributing to the advancement of higher education and scientific research in Iraq and fostering engagement with international academic experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires a.i. affirmed the Embassy\u2019s readiness, in coordination with the Iraqi Cultural Attach\u00e9<\/strong>, to provide the necessary support and facilitation to ensure the success of these academic initiatives, commending the efforts of Iraqi universities to expand their academic cooperation with Malaysian institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, the Vice President of the University noted that the visit forms part of the preparations for a workshop on the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the medical field<\/strong>, organized in cooperation with Universiti Sains Malaysia<\/strong>, scheduled to be held on 9 December 2025<\/strong> in Penang, Malaysia<\/strong>. He also expressed his appreciation for the advanced academic standards of Malaysian higher education institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
