Assoc.Prof. Dr. Abdul Jalil Mohammed Majid<\/strong>, the Cultural Attach\u00e9 at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur, attended the 27th Convocation Ceremony<\/strong> of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), which was held on Tuesday, 11 November 2025<\/strong>, at the university\u2019s campus in Perak. The ceremony witnessed a large attendance of graduates, academic staff, and distinguished guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cultural Attach\u00e9\u2019s participation came in response to an official invitation from the university and reflected the commitment of the Iraqi Cultural Attach\u00e9 Office to strengthening academic and scientific cooperation with leading Malaysian universities, as well as following up on Iraqi students studying in educational and humanities disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Abdul Jalil Mohammed Majid congratulated the university\u2019s administration and academic staff on the occasion of the convocation, expressing his appreciation for the high standards UPSI has achieved in teacher preparation and the development of educational programs. He also extended his congratulations to the graduating students, wishing them success in their professional careers and in serving their communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cultural Attach\u00e9 also commended the ongoing collaborative relations between the Attach\u00e9 Office and the university, emphasizing the importance of expanding future partnerships through teacher training and development programs, joint research projects, and academic exchange initiatives between Iraqi and Malaysian universities, in a manner that supports the advancement of higher education in Iraq.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the conclusion of his visit, Dr. Abdul Jalil Mohammed Majid held cordial meetings with several university officials to explore future avenues of cooperation.
