On Friday, 15 August 2025, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur welcomed a delegation from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM)<\/strong>. The delegation was received by the Acting Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires and the Iraqi Cultural Attach\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, the two sides engaged in detailed discussions on several administrative matters concerning Iraqi students enrolled at USM. The discussions particularly focused on the procedures for issuing and renewing student visas<\/strong>, the processes related to passport renewals<\/strong>, as well as the mechanisms for finalizing residency permits upon the completion of students\u2019 academic programs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and maintaining continuous coordination to facilitate the needs of Iraqi students and to support their academic journey. They also highlighted the positive academic relations that connect Universiti Sains Malaysia with Iraqi higher education institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the conclusion of the meeting, the delegation expressed its appreciation for the warm reception and for the continuous efforts of the Iraqi Embassy and Cultural Attach\u00e9 in supporting and following up on the affairs of Iraqi students in Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
