Toward enhancing the academic relationships between Iraqi and Malaysian universities, The Cultural Attach\u00e9 of the Iraqi Embassy in Kuala Lumpur hosted a delegation from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) on Friday, February 16, 2024. A comprehensive meeting was held with the Iraqi Cultural Counsellor, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahlam Naemah Lata, and the Academic Advisor Dr. Salah Mahdi Khaleel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UTHM university delegation, headed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, and was accompanied by a some of facilities deans, heads of departments, and administrative units, as listed in the table below.:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting discussed the prospects of collaboration between Iraqi and Malaysian universities, highlighting the future plans and visions of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education regarding engagement with international, particularly Malaysian, universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, the importance of cultural and academic cooperation between the two countries was emphasized, as well as the exchange of expertise and knowledge in various academic and research fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Malaysian delegation expressed readiness to enhance cooperation with Iraqi universities and provide necessary support in scientific research and academic program development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this context, the representative of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education expressed its willingness to strengthen collaboration with international and Malaysian universities, opening new avenues for academic and cultural exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed optimism about the future of cultural and academic cooperation between Iraq and Malaysia, reaffirming the necessity of joint efforts to achieve common goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
