The Iraqi Cultural Attach\u00e9 at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur was honored to receive a distinguished delegation from Universiti Tenaga Nasional on Monday, November 6, 2023. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen and deepen the academic and cultural relations between Iraqi universities, research institutions, and Universiti Tenaga Nasional in Malaysia.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this visit, the delegation had the opportunity to meet with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahlam Nahemah Lafta, the Cultural Counselor<\/strong> <\/strong>and the staff of the Cultural Attach\u00e9. The visiting delegations are warmly and respectfully welcomed by the Cultural Counselor and her team. <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The honourable guests expressed their congratulations on the occasion of the reopening of the Cultural Attach\u00e9 after maintenance and renovation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visiting delegations were composed of Associate Professor Dr. Hj. Firas Basim Ismail Alnaimi the Head of Smart Power Generation – Institute of Power Engineering (IPE) at Universiti Tenaga Nasional, and Dr. Aboud Al-Tamimi, the Director of the Department of International Relationships at the university.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an expression of their appreciation for the efforts to enhance cultural and academic cooperation between the two countries, the delegation presented a commemorative gift and extended their best wishes for the continued success of the Iraqi Cultural Attach\u00e9 in Malaysia. They emphasized the importance of the strong ties that connect Iraqi universities with Universiti Tenaga Nasional, which enhance academic and cultural exchange between the two nations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the visiting delegation were honoured with certificates of appreciation from the Cultural Attach\u00e9 in recognition of their role in strengthening cooperation between various Iraqi universities and Universiti Tenaga Nasional. They also demonstrated their significant interest and care in of more than 200 Iraqi students studying at the university, spanning various majors and academic levels.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This visit comes as part of ongoing and continuous efforts to promote cultural exchange and cooperation between Iraq and Malaysia, fostering mutual communication and understanding between educational institutions in both countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
