Sandia National Laboratories, with sponsorship from the United States Department of State, has a training opportunity on Chemical and Biological Security and Safety for Iraqi graduate students who are currently completing their studies outside of Iraq. Students must be currently supported by the Iraqi government and expecting to complete their degrees and return to Iraq within a year.\u00a0 This training workshop is designed specifically for participants whose research work is in the chemical or biological fields, to include those studying biology (and related fields), chemistry (and related fields), engineering, petroleum, agriculture, water treatment, medicine or veterinary studies, etc. Topics will cover risk assessment, chemical and biosecurity, inventory management and emergency preparedness, among others. All costs associated with participation in the workshop will be covered by Sandia National Laboratories, to include applicable travel, lodging and living costs<\/p>\n
