The Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Kuala Lumpur Participates in a Forum for Iraqi Prominent Figures and Professionals and Reaffirms Its Ongoing Support for the Community
شاركت الملحقية الثقافية العراقية في كوالالمبور في الملتقى الذي نُظم يوم السبت الموافق 29 تشرين الثاني 2025، بمبادرة من سفارة جمهورية العراق في ماليزيا، والذي جمع نخبة من الأكاديميين والباحثين والمهنيين العراقيين المقيمين في ماليزيا، وذلك في إطار تعزيز التواصل مع الجالية العراقية ومدّ جسور التعاون مع الطاقات العلمية والمهنية
وقد أعربت النخب العراقية المشاركة عن تقديرها لعقد هذا الملتقى، مثمّنة الجهود المبذولة في توفير مساحة للحوار البنّاء وتبادل الخبرات، وتطوير مبادرات مشتركة تسهم في تعزيز حضور الكفاءات العراقية في مختلف المجالات
ومن جانبها، أكدت الملحقية الثقافية حرصها على التواصل الدائم مع أبناء الجالية، ومتابعة شؤون الأكاديميين والطلبة والباحثين، مشيرةً إلى أنها مستمرة في دعم الأنشطة التي تعزّز الإبداع والبحث والتطوير، وتفتح آفاقًا جديدة أمام اكوادر العراقية للاستفادة من البيئة التعليمية والبحثية في ماليزيا
وفي كلمته خلال الملتقى، أشاد الملحق الثقافي الدكتور عبد الجليل محمد مجيد بالدور الحيوي الذي تضطلع به الكفاءات العراقية في ماليزيا، مؤكّدًا أن الملحقية الثقافية ترى في هذه الطاقات رصيدًا وطنيًا مهمًا، وتسعى إلى تعزيز حضورها الأكاديمي والبحثي والثقافي. كما شدّد على أهمية توسيع آفاق التعاون بين الجامعات العراقية ونظيراتها الماليزية، بما يسهم في تكوين شبكة أكاديمية قوية تُعزّز مكانة العراق على الساحة الدولية
وشهد الملتقى نقاشات موسّعة حول شؤون الجالية العراقية وسبل الارتقاء بدورها الأكاديمي والمجتمعي، فضلاً عن استعراض مبادرات ريادية يمكن أن تفتح آفاقًا جديدة للتعاون بين الملحقية وأبناء الجالية، بما يعزز صورة العراق ويعمّق العلاقات العلمية والإنسانية بين الجانبين
وتؤكد الملحقية الثقافية أنها ماضية في تقديم كل أشكال الدعم الممكن للنخب العلمية والطلبة العراقيين في ماليزيا، والعمل على توفير بيئة داعمة تمكّنهم من الإبداع والتميّز في مختلف المجالات
The Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Kuala Lumpur participated in the forum held on 29 November 2025, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Malaysia. The event brought together a distinguished group of Iraqi academics, researchers, and professionals residing in Malaysia, as part of efforts to strengthen engagement with the Iraqi community and enhance collaboration with its academic and professional expertise.
Participants expressed their appreciation for convening this forum, valuing the efforts made to provide a constructive space for dialogue, exchange of expertise, and the development of joint initiatives that contribute to enhancing the presence of Iraqi talent across various fields.
The Cultural Attaché reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining continuous communication with the Iraqi community and to supporting the academic, research, and cultural endeavors of students, scholars, and professionals. The Attaché also emphasized its ongoing dedication to fostering activities that promote creativity, innovation, and development, as well as creating new opportunities for Iraqi talents to benefit from Malaysia’s academic and research environment.
In his remarks during the forum, Dr. Abduljaleel Mohammed Majeed, the Cultural Attaché, praised the vital role played by Iraqi professionals and academics in Malaysia. He affirmed that the Cultural Attaché considers these distinguished individuals a valuable national asset and is keen to strengthen their academic, research, and cultural presence. Dr. Majeed further stressed the importance of expanding cooperation between Iraqi universities and their Malaysian counterparts, in a way that contributes to building a strong academic network that elevates Iraq’s presence on the international stage.
The forum also featured extensive discussions on matters related to the Iraqi community and ways to enhance its academic and societal engagement, in addition to reviewing pioneering initiatives that could open new avenues of collaboration between the Cultural Attaché and the community. These initiatives aim to promote Iraq’s image and deepen academic and human connections between both sides.
The Iraqi Cultural Attaché affirms its continued commitment to providing all possible support to Iraqi talents and students in Malaysia and to ensuring a supportive environment that enables them to excel and achieve distinction in their respective fields.
