زار وفد الجامعة العراقية مكتب الملحقية الثقافية العراقية في كوالالمبور يوم الاثنين الموافق 22-7-2024، برئاسة الأستاذ الدكتور خميس عواد زيدان، مساعد رئيس الجامعة للشؤون العلمية، وعضوية وفد من السادة عمداء كليات الهندسة وطب الأسنان والقانون والعلوم الإسلامية، وبرفقة السيد مدير قسم البعثات والعلاقات الثقافية. تأتي هذه الزيارة في مستهل زيارة يقوم بها وفد الجامعة العراقية إلى ماليزيا لزيارة عدد من الجامعات الماليزية وعقد لقاءات مع مختلف القيادات الجامعية للبحث عن سبل تفعيل التعاون الدولي وفق رؤية وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي العراقية لتدويل الجامعات العراقية، وكذلك للترويج إلى مبادرة “ادرس في العراق” التي أطلقتها الحكومة العراقية للطلبة الدوليين.
وخلال الزيارة، تم الاطلاع على آليات عمل الملحقية والجهود المبذولة من قبل كادرها، متمثلاً بالسيدة الملحق الثقافي الأستاذ المساعد الدكتور أحلام نعمة لفته وباقي كادر الملحقية الثقافية. حيث تم استعراض أهم منجزات الملحقية خلال الأعوام الماضية وخطط الملحقية المستقبلية لتوسيع آفاق التعاون مع الجامعات والمؤسسات الأكاديمية الماليزية.
وأثناء الزيارة، تم عقد لقاء مع مجموعة من موفدي الجامعة العراقية إلى ماليزيا للاستماع إلى طلباتهم ومحاولة تحفيز الطلبة على الإبداع العلمي وأهمية التفوق العلمي كون الطلبة هم السفراء الحقيقيين لمؤسساتهم وبلدهم. وفي ختام الزيارة، تم الإشادة بالجهود المبذولة وتم التقاط الصور التذكارية بهذه المناسبة.

On Monday, July 22, 2024, a delegation from the Al-Iraqia University visited the Iraqi Cultural Attaché Office in Kuala Lumpur. The delegation was led by Professor Dr. Khamis Awad Zidan, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, and included deans from the Colleges of Engineering, Dentistry, Law, and Islamic Sciences, along with the Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations. This visit marks the beginning of the Iraqi University delegation’s tour in Malaysia to visit several Malaysian universities and hold meetings with various university leaders to explore ways to enhance international cooperation in line with the vision of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to internationalize Iraqi universities and to promote the “Study in Iraq” initiative launched by the Iraqi government for international students.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the working mechanisms of the Attaché and the efforts made by its staff, represented by the Cultural Attaché, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahlam Naama Lafta, and the rest of the Attaché staff. The major achievements of the Attaché over the past years were reviewed, as well as the future plans of the Attaché to expand cooperation with Malaysian universities and academic institutions.
Additionally, a meeting was held with a group of Al-Iraqia University scholarships students in Malaysia to listen to their requests and encourage students towards scientific creativity and the importance of academic excellence, as students are the true ambassadors of their institutions and country. At the end of the visit, the efforts made were commended, and commemorative photos were taken on this occasion.
