زار وفد من الملحقية الثقافية العراقية في سفارة جمهورية العراق في كوالالمبور جامعة ماهساMAHSA الماليزية في كوالالمبور يوم الثلاثاء الموافق 28-5-2024. ضم الوفد السيدة المستشار الثقافي الأستاذ الدكتور أحلام نعمة لفتة، والموظف الاداري الدكتور صلاح مهدي خليل، ومسؤولة العلاقات الثقافية في سفارة جمهورية العراق الآنسة مها جاسم.
التقى الوفد بالسيد رئيس الجامعة الأستاذ الدكتور داتو إكرام شاه بن إسماعيل، ونائب رئيس الجامعة الأستاذ الدكتور روسناه زين، وعدد من العمداء ورؤساء الأقسام الإدارية في رئاسة الجامعة.
تضمنت الزيارة الاطلاع على مرافق الجامعة التخصصية، وخصوصاً في مجالات التمريض والطب العام وطب الأسنان والأقسام الهندسية المختلفة. وتم تقديم عرض تقديمي من قبل الجامعة استعرض أهم مراحل تطورها. كما قدم الدكتور صلاح مهدي خليل شرحاً مفصلاً عن رؤية وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي العراقية بخصوص آليات الاعتراف بالجامعات العالمية وسبل إدراج جامعة ماهسا ضمن الجامعات الموصى بها من قبل الوزارة.
بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تم مناقشة رؤية وزارة التعليم العالي العراقية لربط الجامعات العراقية بنظيراتها العالمية، وأهمية انفتاح الجامعات العالمية على الاستثمار المباشر مع الشركاء المناسبين لفتح فروع للجامعات الماليزية في العراق، نظراً للبيئة الواعدة للعمل الأكاديمي في العراق.
كما تم تقديم تصور عن مبادرة “ادرس في العراق” التي تبناها معالي وزير التعليم العالي العراقي، وأهمية هذه المبادرة لاستقطاب الكفاءات من مختلف الدول للاندماج في النظم الأكاديمية العراقية في مختلف المستويات الدراسية.
شملت الزيارة أيضاً جولة في الورش والمختبرات والقاعات الدراسية المختلفة، وحضور جانب من الامتحانات التطبيقية في الجامعة. وتم التقاط الصور الرسمية بهذه المناسبة، مع الاتفاق على المضي قدماً في ربط جامعة ماهسا بالجامعات العراقية وفق الإجراءات الرسمية والبروتوكولية المناسبة، بالإضافة إلى تعزيز التعاون وخلق فرص لبدء شراكات علمية وأكاديمية حقيقية في أقرب وقت ممكن.

A delegation from the Iraqi Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur visited MAHSA University in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. The delegation included the Cultural Advisor, Professor Dr. Ahlam N Lafta, Academic Advisor Dr. Salah MAhdi Khaleel, and the Cultural Relations Officer at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq, Miss Maha Jasim.
The delegation met with the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Dato’ Dr. Ikram Shah bin Ismail, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Rosnah Zain, and several deans and administrative department heads at the university.
During the visit, the delegation toured the university’s specialized facilities, especially in the fields of nursing, general medicine, dentistry, and various engineering departments. The university presented an overview of its development milestones. Dr. Salah Mehdi Khalil provided a detailed explanation of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s vision regarding the mechanisms for recognizing international universities and the methods for including MAHSA University among the universities recommended by the ministry.
Additionally, the discussion covered the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education’s vision to link Iraqi universities with their international counterparts, and the importance of global universities opening direct investments with suitable partners to establish branches of Malaysian universities in Iraq, considering Iraq’s promising environment for academic work.
A presentation was also given on the “Study in Iraq” initiative adopted by the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education, highlighting the importance of this initiative in attracting talents from various countries to integrate into the Iraqi academic systems at different educational levels.
The visit included tours of workshops, laboratories, and various lecture halls, and the delegation observed part of the practical exams at the university. Official photographs were taken on this occasion, and agreements were made to proceed with linking MAHSA University to Iraqi universities according to the appropriate official and protocol procedures, with a commitment to ongoing cooperation and creating opportunities for starting genuine academic and scientific partnerships as soon as possible.
