تم يوم الاثنين الموافق 13-5-2024 توقيع مذكرة تفاهم علمي وأكاديمي بين جامعة النهرين العراقية وجامعة الطاقة الوطنية الماليزية. جاءت هذه الاتفاقية نتيجة للجهود المستمرة من قبل كادر الملحقية الثقافية، بالإضافة إلى الجهود المبذولة من قبل الدكتور فراس باسم النعيمي، مدير مركز بحوث الطاقة الذكية في جامعة الطاقة الوطنية الماليزية. وقع الاتفاق عن الجانب الماليزي الدكتور خيرول صالح محمد، رئيس جامعة تيناغا الوطنية، وعن الجانب العراقي الدكتور علي علي عبد العزيز الشاوي، رئيس جامعة النهرين. جرت مراسم التوقيع في رئاسة جامعة النهرين بحضورالاستاذ المساعد الدكتور فراس باسم النعيمي ممثلاً عن رئيس جامعة تيناغا الوطنية. تعكس هذه الخطوة التعاون الكبير بين الجامعتين، وتعزز العلاقات الوثيقة بينهما، خاصة مع استمرار المشاركة المتبادلة في المؤتمرات واستضافة المتحدثين الرئيسيين في مجالات مختلفة، كما حدث في المؤتمر الدولي الرابع لكلية الهندسة في جامعة النهرين.
تم توقيع هذه المذكرة في إطار تعزيز التعاون العلمي والأكاديمي بين العراق وماليزيا، حيث تسعى الجامعتان إلى تبادل الخبرات والمعرفة في مجالات البحث العلمي وتطوير التقنيات المتقدمة في مجال الطاقة والهندسة والتكنولوجيا. وتأتي هذه الاتفاقية كخطوة مهمة في سبيل تعزيز التعاون الثنائي بين البلدين في المجال الأكاديمي، مما يعزز فرص التبادل الطلابي والأكاديمي وتطوير البرامج الدراسية المشتركة.
وتشير المذكرة إلى استعداد الجامعتين لتنظيم مشاريع بحثية مشتركة وورش عمل دولية، بالإضافة إلى تبادل الأساتذة والباحثين والطلاب في إطار برامج تبادل الطلاب والمنح الدراسية. كما تهدف المذكرة أيضًا إلى تعزيز التواصل والتفاهم الثقافي بين الطلاب والباحثين من الجانبين، مما يسهم في تعزيز العلاقات الثقافية بين الشعبين.

On Monday, May 13, 2024, a scientific and academic memorandum of understanding was signed between the University of Nahrain in Iraq and the Universiti Tenaga Nasional in Malaysia. This agreement comes as a result of continuous efforts by the Cultural Attaché’s office of Iraqi Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, in addition to the efforts made by Dr. Firas Basim Al-Naimi, Director of the Smart Energy Research Center at the Universiti Tenaga Nasional in Malaysia.
Signing on behalf of the Malaysian side was PROF. IR. DR. KHAIRUL SALLEH MOHAMED SAHARI , Vice Chancellor of Universiti Tenaga Nasional, and representing the Iraqi side was Dr. Ali Ali Abdul Aziz Al-Shawi, President of the University of Nahrain. The signing ceremony took place at the University of Nahrain in Baghdad, attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Firas Basim Al-Naimi representing the Vice Chancellor of Universiti Tenaga Nasional. This step reflects the significant cooperation between the two universities and strengthens the close ties between them, especially with the continuous participation in mutual conferences and hosting keynote speakers in various fields, as happened in the Fourth International Conference of the College of Engineering at the University of Nahrain.
This memorandum was signed within the framework of enhancing scientific and academic cooperation between Iraq and Malaysia, where both universities aim to exchange expertise and knowledge in the fields of scientific research and the development of advanced technologies in energy, engineering, and technology. This agreement represents a significant step towards strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the academic field, enhancing opportunities for student and academic exchange, and developing joint academic programs.
The memorandum indicates the readiness of both universities to organize joint research projects and international workshops, in addition to exchanging professors, researchers, and students within the framework of student exchange programs and scholarships. Furthermore, the memorandum aims to enhance cultural communication and understanding between students and researchers from both sides, contributing to strengthening cultural relations between the two nations.
