شاركت الملحقية الثقافية العراقية ممثلةً عن السفارة العراقية في كوالالمبور في حفل التخرج الرابع والستين لجامعة ملايا الماليزية، والذي أُقيم يوم السبت الموافق 30 نوفمبر 2024.

وقد مثّل السفارة العراقية السيد المستشار الثقافي، الأستاذ المساعد الدكتور عبد الجليل محمد مجيد، وبرفقته الموظف الإداري الدكتور صلاح مهدي خليل. وجاءت مشاركة الملحقية استجابةً للدعوة الرسمية التي وُجّهت إلى السفارة والملحقية الثقافية بصفتها ممثلاً رسمياً للعراق، ولما تتمتع به الجامعة من مكانة متميزة باعتبارها الجامعة الأم في ماليزيا، والتي تضم حوالي 70 طالباً عراقياً في مختلف المراحل الدراسية والتخصصات العلمية والإنسانية والطبية.

تخلل الحفل تنظيم لقاء مع مجموعة من الخريجين العراقيين والتقاط الصور التذكارية معهم، إلى جانب لقاء عدد من السفراء العرب والأجانب ورئيس جامعة ملايا الماليزية داتو بروفسور أزوان بن نور، ومساعد رئيس الجامعة بروفسور رامش، ومدير قسم العلاقات الدولية بالجامعة.

وأكدت الملحقية الثقافية أن مشاركتها تأتي تعزيزاً للعلاقات الوثيقة بين الملحقية وجامعة ملايا الماليزية. وتم الاتفاق على تنظيم زيارة رسمية خلال الفترة القادمة لمناقشة الخطط المستقبلية واستعراض ما تم إنجازه في ملف مذكرات التفاهم، مع التركيز على تفعيل البنود التي تسهم في تعزيز الروابط بين الجامعات العراقية وجامعة ملايا الماليزية.

وثمّنت الملحقية الدعوة الكريمة، مؤكدةً على لسان السيد المستشار الثقافي أن الملحقية تنظر بعين الاعتزاز وببالغ الاهتمام لجامعة ملايا، التي ساهمت بتخريج العديد من الكفاءات العراقية المتميزة التي أثبتت جدارتها في مختلف المجالات الأكاديمية والعلمية سواء داخل العراق أو خارجه.

The Iraqi Cultural Attaché, representing the Iraqi Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, participated in the 64th graduation ceremony of the University of Malaya, held on Saturday, November 30, 2024.

The Iraqi Embassy was represented by the Cultural Advisor, Assistant Professor Dr. Abduljaleel Mohammed Mageed, accompanied by Administrative Officer Dr. Salah Mahdi Khaleel. The participation came in response to the official invitation extended to the Iraqi Embassy and the Cultural Attaché, recognizing their role as an official representative of Iraq. This participation highlights the significance of the University of Malaya, which is considered the premier university in Malaysia and hosts approximately 70 Iraqi students across various academic stages and scientific, humanitarian, and medical disciplines.

During the ceremony, a gathering with Iraqi graduates was organized, where commemorative photos were taken. Additionally, meetings were held with several Arab and foreign ambassadors, as well as the vice chancellor of the University of Malaya, Professor Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Noor Azuan Abu Osman, Deputy vice chancellor Professor Ir. Dr. Ramesh Singh Kuldip Singh, and the Director of the International Relations Department at the university.

The Cultural Attaché emphasized that its participation reflects the strong relationship between the attaché and the University of Malaya. An agreement was reached to arrange an official visit in the near future to discuss future plans and review the progress made in the Memorandums of Understanding, focusing on activating clauses that strengthen the connections between Iraqi universities and the University of Malaya.

The Cultural Attaché expressed gratitude for the kind invitation, highlighting the remarks of the Cultural Advisor that the attaché deeply values and respects the University of Malaya, which has contributed to graduating many outstanding Iraqi talents who have proven their excellence in various academic and scientific fields both in Iraq and internationally.
