The Iraqi Cultural Attaché Participates in the Reception of Al-Turath University Delegation at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur

شاركت الملحقية الثقافية العراقية في كوالالمبور في اللقاء الذي عقد في سفارة جمهورية العراق بكوالالمبور يوم الاثنين الموافق 13 تشرين الأول 2025، والذي استقبل فيه القائم بالأعمال المؤقت، المستشار أحمد غانم عبد الجبار، وفد جامعة التراث الأهلية برئاسة الأستاذ الدكتور جعفر جابر جواد، رئيس الجامعة، والوفد المرافق له

وحضر اللقاء الملحق الثقافي الدكتور عبد الجليل محمد مجيد، حيث جرى خلال الاجتماع بحث سبل تعزيز التعاون الأكاديمي والعلمي بين الجامعات العراقية ونظيراتها الماليزية، لاسيما في مجالات البحث العلمي، وتبادل الخبرات، وتطوير المناهج التعليمية، بما يسهم في دعم مسيرة التعليم العالي في العراق والانفتاح على التجارب الأكاديمية الدولية الرصينة

وأشاد القائم بالأعمال المؤقت بالمبادرات التي تقوم بها جامعة التراث الأهلية لتوطيد التعاون مع الجامعات الماليزية، مؤكدًا استعداد السفارة لتقديم الدعم والتسهيلات اللازمة لإنجاح مثل هذه الجهود التي تسهم في رفع مستوى التعليم والبحث العلمي في العراق

من جانبه، أوضح رئيس جامعة التراث الأهلية أن الزيارة جاءت ضمن برنامج توقيع مذكرة تفاهم مع جامعة العلوم الماليزية، مشيرًا إلى أن الوفد قام بجولة في عدد من المراكز البحثية والمختبرات الطبية في الجامعة للاطلاع على التجارب التعليمية والبحثية الماليزية المتقدمة

وفي ختام اللقاء، أعرب وفد جامعة التراث الأهلية عن شكره وتقديره للسفارة والملحقية الثقافية العراقية على حسن الاستقبال والدعم المتواصل للمؤسسات الأكاديمية العراقية، وجهودهما في تعزيز التعاون العلمي والأكاديمي الدولي بما يخدم تطوير التعليم العالي في العراق

The Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Kuala Lumpur participated in a meeting held at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur on Monday, October 13, 2025, where Counselor Ahmed Ghanem Abdul Jabbar, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., received a delegation from Al-Turath University, headed by Professor Dr. Jaafar Jaber Jawad, President of the University, and his accompanying team.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Abduljaleel Mohammed Majeed, the Cultural Attaché, during which the participants discussed ways to enhance academic and scientific cooperation between Iraqi and Malaysian universities, particularly in the areas of scientific research, exchange of expertise, and curriculum development. These efforts aim to support the advancement of higher education in Iraq and to benefit from reputable international academic experiences.

The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. praised the initiatives undertaken by Al-Turath University to strengthen collaboration with Malaysian universities, affirming the Embassy’s readiness to provide the necessary support and facilitation to ensure the success of such initiatives that contribute to improving education and scientific research in Iraq.

For his part, the President of Al-Turath University explained that the visit aimed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), noting that the delegation also toured several research centers and medical laboratories at the university to learn from Malaysia’s advanced educational and research practices.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the delegation expressed its gratitude and appreciation to the Embassy and the Iraqi Cultural Attaché for their warm reception and continuous support of Iraqi academic institutions in their efforts to strengthen international academic and scientific cooperation.
